¾ cups warm water (110°F - 115°F)
2 pkgs active dry yeast
4 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup sugar
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
½ cup soft shortening

Directions:
Directions:
In bowl, dissolve yeast in the warm water. Measure flour using spooning and level method. Stir in shortening, salt, sugar eggs and half of flour to yeast. Scrape down sides of bowl. Add remaining flour, blending just until smooth and combined. Scrape down sides of bowl and cover with clean cloth. Allow to rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 ½ hours.

Divide dough in half. Shape into butterhorns. Cover and let rise again until double in size, about 1 hour. Brush with butter.

Heat oven to 400°F. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
