½ cup butter, no substitute
1 - 5oz. can evaporated milk
2½ cups sugar
2 cups milk chocolate chips
1-7oz. jar marshmallow creme
24 caramels, quartered
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Butter a 9" square pan. In a large heavy saucepan combine milk, sugar and butter. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a rapid boil. Boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and marshmallows or marshmallow creme until melted. Fold in caramels and vanilla. Pour into pan and cool. Cut into 1" squares. Store room temperature. Makes 3 lbs.
