1 - 10 oz. package of frozen strawberries, thawed
2 Eggs, beaten
1/2 Cup plus 2 tbsp. of oil
1 Cup sugar
1.5 Cups of flour
1 tsp Baking soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1.5 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 Cup of pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together undrained strawberries, sugar, eggs and oil.

Sift together dry ingredients and add to strawberry mixture, stir to blend well, add nuts and stir.

Pour into well-greased and floured 9X5 loaf pan, bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Note: You can tent the top with foil if the top browns too fast.

This was mother's favorite Strawberry Bread recipe. It came from our Aunt Bessie's cookbook. It was always paired with Aunt Mary Nell's Strawberry Butter (also included in this book).
