8 oz. dry macaroni (1½ c.)
3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
3 Tbsp. flour
2 cups milk
½ tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350º.

Cook macaroni in boiling water until tender; drain and set aside.

In a medium sauce pan melt butter. Add flour and salt, stirring until a smooth paste forms. Add milk little by little stirring constantly.

Add shredded cheese. Stir until melted.

Place cooked macaroni in a buttered casserole dish. Pour cheese sauce on top and mix until well combined.

Bake for 45 minutes.

A simple and comforting meal. If desired sprinkle buttered bread crumbs on top before baking.
