BUTTER TART FILLING
⅓ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 T. milk
½ c raisins
1 egg beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

PASTRY
1 lb. Tender Flake lard
4 ½ cups of flour
½ tsp. salt
5 tsp. baking powder
4 tsp. vinegar
¾ cup cold water
Refrigerate ½ hour

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
2. In medium sauce pan, mix all the ingredients for the filling
3. Separately, beat egg with a fork and add to everything else.
4. Bring to a boil and cook until thick stirring constantly - it will thicken as it cools.
5. Cool and add to pastry in shells.
6. Bake at 375 F until golden brown!
