1 pkg. (13 oz.) Lorna Doone cookies
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 quart vanilla ice cream
6 oz. instant chocolate pudding
2 cups milk
1 (8 oz.) tub Cool Whip
2 Heath bars (crushed) or 1/2 cup heath bar bits

Heat oven to 350.

CRUST: Crush Lorna Doone cookies and mix with melted butter. Press in 9x13-inch pan. Bake about 15 minutes or until it starts to turn golden brown. Watch carefully as it will burn easily. Cool completely.

MIDDLE LAYER: Mix instant chocolate pudding and milk until smooth. Add vanilla ice cream and continue to beat until smooth again. Pour over cooled crust.

TOP LAYER: Spread Cool Whip over filling. Sprinkle with crushed heath bar bits and and refrigerate..

Can make ahead of time and freeze.
