2 sticks butter, softened
1½ cups sugar
4 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 tsp. Lemon extract
1 can cherry pie filling

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each one. Mix in extracts and then add flour. Spread batter in a well greased jelly roll pan (15½x10½x1”)
Top with tablespoons of pie filling, leaving some batter around each spoon of fruit. Bake 30 min. at 350º until golden brown. Cool - sprinkle with conf. sugar. Cut into squares to serve.

Note: Try apple pie filling with vanilla & almond extract as an option. Do not use larger pan or tarts will be to thin to hold fruit. Can freeze squares by placing on tray till solid, then toss into freezer bags.
