4 cups fruit of choice

2 Tablespoons lemon juice

½ cup  sugar

2 Tablespoons flour or quick cooking tapioca


CRISP:                         

½ cup plus 1 Tablespoon cold butter; cut into chunks

¾ cup brown sugar; packed

1 cup  flour

¾ cup rolled oats

½ cup toasted nuts; chopped

¼ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon nutmeg

1 teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon cardamom

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Combine the fruit, lemon juice, sugar and flour; toss gently.
Transfer the fruit to a 10 inch pie dish.
Combine the crisp ingredients and mix until crumbly.
Cover the fruit with crisp.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
