1 T. vegetable oil
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 T. minced garlic
½ c. minced onion
¼ c. minced green bell pepper
1 T. yellow mustard
1 T. tomato paste
⅓ c. water
1 T. brown sugar
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
½ c. ketchup
salt and pepper to taste

Add oil to a deep heavy skillet over medium-low heat; add onion, garlic, and green pepper and sauté until soft. Raise heat to medium-high, add ground beef and brown, breaking apart as it cooks. Stir in remaining ingredients, mix well and cook until mixture has thickened. Spoon into hamburger buns.

A forever favorite! And a working mom's delight. Can be made whenever you have time and frozen for serving on a very busy day. Just thaw, reheat over low heat or in the microwave.
