1 lb. lean ground beef
2 c. rice, cooked
1 egg
1 small can tomato sauce
1 medium-sized head of cabbage
1 (14.5 oz.) can diced or stewed tomatoes
1 can tomato soup
1/2 c. beef broth
salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine beef, rice, egg
and tomato sauce. Season with salt
and pepper.

2. Tear off outer cabbage leaves, wash
and set aside. Gently pull off each of
the remaining leaves and wash.
Parboil cabbage leaves until just tender.

3. Place a spoonful of meat mixture in
center of cabbage leaf and roll edges to
form a packet. Secure edges with a
toothpick. Continue until all cabbage
leaves and meat mixture is gone.

4. Place cabbage rolls in a large pot, pour
in tomatoes, soup, broth, salt and
pepper. Place remaining cabbage leaves
over the top of the mixture. Cook, covered,
over medium-low heat for 1 hour or until
meat is done. Serve with broth and extra
cooked rice.
