Start by mixing the following in a bowl:

1 T. baking powder
2 tsp salt
3 c. all purpose flour

Melt 1/2 c. unsalted butter in 1 cup of water. Mix until the butter is completely melted . Add the butter/water mixture to the flour mixture while it is still warm. Mix until the flour comes together and knead until smooth ball of dough. Place into the bowl and cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for ~10-15 minutes. After resting, make smaller balls for individual tortillas. Place the balls back into the bowl and cover with plastic wrap again, wait about 10 minutes. After resting, roll the balls on a lightly floured working surface until you have a 10-12 inch round. Place onto medium hot griddle/pan . When they start to bubble, flip them over cook for an additional 30 seconds, then flip again.

(I didn't have unsalted butter so I cut back on the salt in the flour mixture and used regular salted butter. )
