1 cup plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup sugar
4 tbsp cocoa
½ cup milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)
½ cup soft light brown sugar
1 cup plus ¼ cup boiling water

Oven Temp 175ºF

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa.
Add milk, oil and vanilla, mix until just smooth.
Add nuts if using them.
Turn into greased bowl.
Combine brown sugar and rest of cocoa and sprinkle over the top of the batter.
Pour the boiling water over the top of the batter (This makes a chocolate sauce in the bottom of the bowl after baking)

Bake about 30 minutes.

Yummy with ice cream or cream
