¾ cup plain flour
1 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
Pinch of Salt
¾ cup Milk
3 oz butter
1 tin peach slices drained.
Oven temp 180ºC

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, add the milk and stir into a batter.
Melt butter in the oven in the bowl you are using to bake the cobbler.
Pour the batter into the middle of the butter, DO NOT STIR.
Pour the peaches into the middle of the batter.
Cook 30 – 40 minutes.

Here are two recipes that are very easy and much loved by both our children, our daughter now makes them for our granddaughters. Both recipes came from an American cookbook called Christ Church Cookbook, Savannah, Georgia, first printed in 1956 still great today, given to me by my mother-in-law in 1982 when John Henry and I were married.
