5 lbs melted grease
1 can lye
3 qts cold water
1 c borax
1 c ammonia

Directions:
Directions:
Place water and lye in vessel on stove. When lukewarm pour in melted fat. Be sure there is no salt in grease. Stir ten minutes, and add borax and ammonia. Stir until borax is dissolved. Let sit until firm. Then cut into pieces. To make granulated, shred with shredder or put through grinder.
