½ cup shortening
⅛ tsp. salt
1 cup boiling water
1 cup sifted flour
3 eggs, unbeaten

Directions:
Directions:
Add shortening and salt to boiling water and stir over medium heat until mixture boils. lower heat and add flour all at once, stir vigorously until mixture leaves side of pan, remove from heat. Add one egg at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Shape on ungreased cookie sheet, 1 tsp or 1 tbsp. size, depending on size desired. Bake in hot oven 450º for 20 minutes, reduce heat to 350º and bake 20 minutes longer. Remove from oven and place on rack to cool. When cool, make slit on side and fill with desired filling, whipped cream, pudding etc.
