Sweet and Sour Brisket Recipe

1 4-5 lb. beef brisket, trimmed of fat
¼ cup flour
1 package onion soup mix
1-10.75 oz. can tomato soup
¼ tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. light brown sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Pat brisket dry with paper towel. Place flour in shallow bowl. Drench brisket in flour, shake off excess. Place in slow cooker. Place onion soup mix, tomato soup and pepper in small bowl with ¼ cup water. Stir and pour mixture over brisket. Cover cooker and cook on high until tender about 6 hours. Remove brisket, place on platter. Cover loosely with aluminum foil to keep warm. Strain liquid left in cooker. Remove fat from liquid. Pour into 2 quart pan, over medium heat. Add brown sugar and vinegar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Slice brisket, pour sauce over it to moisten. Serve remaining sauce on side.
