1 Cup Butter
2 Cups Sugar
3 Cups Flour
3 tsp baking powder
4 Eggs (separated)
1 Cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Beat 4 egg whites and set aside

Mix flour and baking powder. Mix milk and vanilla

Cream butter, sugar till lemony. Add beaten egg yolks. Alternately add the flour mixture and milk mixture. Beat about 2 or 3 minutes to combine.
Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9" cake pans
Bake 350º 50-55 minutes till toothpick comes out clean
