Over the years I've made changes and made MomMom's Very Berry Pie which is also PopPop's Birthday Pie!! Here are my changes. I always use the 10 inch ingredient list

Melt about 2/3 cup mini chocolate chips ( I usually melt in microwave but probably best in dish over hot water) Spread melted chips over baked pie shell. Set in fridge until ready to complete pie

Use a mixture of Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries to make up about 1 1/2 quarts of berries. Use raspberry jello instead of strawberry but really doesn't matter that much

Mix all the berries then pour most of the syrup over them so they all get covered. Put everything in cold pie shell and pour some of the leftover syrup over again to make shiny
