Syble Dulaney was Bobby's grandmother known affectionately as Nanny. She grew up in Southeast Texas and moved to the Moss Bluff area in the 1960's.

This is the recipe that Erin was hoping we would find. She says it's that good. Bobby's Aunt Alicia found it and shared it with me. Thanks Alicia!

I have fond memories of Syble being my mom's Visiting Teacher and bringing her treats, she even made both of my parents Edna and Bill lap quilts. An interesting story I found out connects my family to Syble and Clyde back in 1959. The missionary who baptized both my father and I was named Val Grover. I found him by email about 10 years ago. He told me that after serving in New Orleans he was assigned to the Silsbee area. I asked him if he knew the Dulaney family because that's where Syble and Clyde were living in 1959. He did! He remembered them well and Clyde's kindness to him when he returned to visit the area after his mission. He felt that Clyde showed him a great amount of trust and he never forgot how that made him feel. It's really a small world, isn't it?- belle
