¾ pint Borden's whipping cream
3 T light Karo syrup
3 c granulated sugar
pinch of baking soda
3 c pecans
1½ tsp REAL vanilla flavoring (don't use imitation)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the whipping cream, Karo, sugar and baking soda in a large pot (heavy Magnalite 5 quart works well). Stir constantly and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and continue stirring until mixture forms a firm ball in ice water.

Remove from heat and add vanilla and pecans. Stir until thick and just glazed over, about 10 minutes. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper. Hide from the kids.
