1 1/2 cups red lentils
350 g Bacon Pieces
6 cups beef stock
30 g butter
1 large onion, chopped
1 red capsicum, diced
(carrot celery optional)
425 g can whole tomatoes
1 tspn caraway seeds

Directions:
Directions:
Cover lentils with cold water and soak for 2 hours.
Drain and place into a large saucepan. Add bacon bones and beef stock.
Stir and simmer over a gentle heat.
Melt butter in a small frying pan, saute onion and capsicum.
Transfer to saucepan with tomatoes and season.
