2 T olive oil...
2 large onions (10 oz. each) thinly sliced...
2 T granulated sugar...
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar...
2 pounds ground beef...
4 truffle pecorino cheese slices...
4 brioche buns, toasted...
Bread and butter pickles...
Ketchup...
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in skillet over medium...
Add onions, cook, stirring often, until softened and translucent...
Add sugar, cook, stirring often until onions are caramelized and golden brown, about 15 minutes...
Add vinegar, cook, stirring intently, until onions cook down to marmalade consistency, 5 minutes...
Remove from heat...
Shape the beef into 4 (3/4 inch-thick patties, 5 inches wide)
Preheat grill...
Place meat patties on hot grate, cook 5 minutes, flip patties, add the cheese and cook patties for 6 minutes more and serve on toasted buns, top each patty with balsamic onions, bread and butter pickle and ketchup...
Add other toppings of your choice...
