Ingredients: 3 c. all purpose flour 3 c. sugar 6 eggs 3 sticks butter (1½ c.) 8 oz. cream cheese 1 tsp. vanilla extract ½ tsp. salt optional: 1 tsp. flavored extract - almond, lemon, orange or coconut make for a tasty cake.

Directions:Beat the ingredients together well. Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. Place it into a cold oven. Bake at 300º for 90 minutes or longer until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean or ideally with a few moist crumbs (do NOT over-bake this cake or it will be dry). Let cake cool on wire rack 20 minutes then invert onto a serving platter or cake plate. Remove pan and allow cake to cool completely. |
