3 c. all purpose flour 3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 sticks butter (1½ c.)
8 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla extract
½ tsp. salt
optional:
1 tsp. flavored extract - almond, lemon, orange or coconut make for a tasty cake.

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the ingredients together well. Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. Place it into a cold oven. Bake at 300º for 90 minutes or longer until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean or ideally with a few moist crumbs (do NOT over-bake this cake or it will be dry). Let cake cool on wire rack 20 minutes then invert onto a serving platter or cake plate. Remove pan and allow cake to cool completely.

This cake is super simple and very rich. It is delicious topped with mixed berries and whipped cream or an almond or lemon glaze.
