1¾ c all purpose flour
⅔ c sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 c ripe mashed bananas (2 or 3 medium)
⅓ c butter ( can sub with margarine or shortening)
2 T milk
2 eggs
¼ c chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl combine 1 c flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the mashed bananas, shortening, butter, or margarine and milk. Beat well with an electric mixer on low until all mixed then turn to high speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs and remaining flour and mix until blended. Stir in nuts.

Pour into a greased 8 x 4 x 2 inch pan. Bake 350º for 55 - 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from oven. Let cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack. Wrap and store overnight before slicing.
