6 eggs
2½ c sugar
½ qt. milk
½ tsp salt
3 T vanilla
1½ tall cans of Pet™ brand evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
Homemade freezer custard ice cream.

Beat eggs until blended, add sugar and salt.

Scald the regular milk. Add in the sugar egg mixture, stirring constantly. Cook over hot water until mixture coats a spoon. Then remove from heat.

Cool by placing pot in cool water or refrigerator.

Pour into 1 gallon freezer, add in vanilla, evaporated milk and 3 inches of custard since it will expand.
