Ingredients:
Ingredients:
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
*½ pound butter, softened
2 C sugar
2 C self rising flour
1½ cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the cream cheese and butter (I usually use 1½ sticks of butter instead of 2 sticks). Add sugar and flour and mix. Add pecans and mix. Chill the dough. Use a 1 T scoop to put on cookie sheet. Bake in 325º oven for 15 minutes. Do not overcook. If you don’t have self rising flour, you can substitute using 2 C regular flour, 1 T baking powder and 1 tsp salt. Sometimes I will use Heath bits instead of pecans & they taste like Stroopwaffles.
