2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
1 20 oz can crushed pineapple - undrained - packed in own juice (not syrup)
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Cream cheese frosting:
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese - softened
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
coconut for garnish (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix all cake ingredients together in a bowl.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until golden brown


Make Frosting:
Beat butter, cream cheese, and vanilla together until creamy
Gradually add powdered sugar while continuing to beat

Frost cake while warm. Sprinkle top with nuts or coconut if desired
