1-1/2 c. flour
2-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla


Streusel Topping:
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 T. butter, at room temperature
2 T. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
chopped walnuts or pecans, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9-inch pie dish. Combine streusel ingredients and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt, and set aside. With an electric mixer, in a separate bowl, beat egg until frothy, then beat in sugar and melted butter. Add milk, sour cream and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix on Low; do not over-mix. Pour 1/2 of the batter into prepared pie dish and spread evenly; cover with 1/2 of streusel topping mixture. Repeat and top with chopped nuts, if desired. Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes.

This recipe comes off a beautifully decorated ceramic pie dish. It quickly became a family and friend favorite and a wonderful Christmas morning tradition!
