2 c. heavy cream
14 oz. bittersweet chocolate, cut into small pieces
1½ cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1½ sticks unsalted butter, cut into thin slices, at room temperature

Directions:
Directions:
Heat cream and chocolate in the microwave for 1-1½ minutes. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.

Add sugar and vanilla and stir until all of the chocolate has melted and you have a glossy ganache.

Gently stir in the vanilla, followed by the butter pieces. Set aside to let cool to room temperature.

Transfer the chocolate mixture to the clean bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Whip the frosting for 1 to 2 minutes to lighten the texture.
