1 egg
1 cup whole milk
3 tablespoons sugar
Pinch of salt
¾ teaspoon vanilla (optional)
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg or cinnamon (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, lightly beat the egg. Stir in the milk, sugar, and salt until combined. Add extract and spice, if using.

Pour into 2 ungreased 6-ounce custard cups. Place in an 8-inch square baking dish; add 1 inch of hot water to the pan. Bake at 350°F until a knife comes out clean, about 35 minutes.
