Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1-3.5 oz Uneeda Biscuits package
1.5 pint fresh shucked oysters WITH juice
1 + sticks butter
1 package tiny round oyster crackers (3/4" diameter)
whole milk about 1 cup

Directions:
Directions:
Coarsely crumble ¼ to ⅓ of biscuits in bottom of casserole, layer 1/2 of the oyster (saving juice!) on bottom layer. Salt and pepper the top of the oysters and dot with 2-3 Tbsp of butter. Crumble another layer of Uneeda, repeat oyster layer with other half, salt and pepper, and last ⅓ of Uneeda biscuits. Dot with 3-4 Tbsp of butter, crush round oyster crackers on top. Try to be sure oysters are covered so they don't dry and get tough Slowly wet crackers with oyster juice (be careful not to allow grit in very bottom of juice to get out). Pr 1 c whole milk over top evenly. Prepare within 3 hrs of baking/serving. Bake without lid about 30-45 minutes at 350ºF until top is nicely browned.

Mom mom used to make this for Christmas or Thanksgiving. I asked her to teach me this recipe about 18 months before she died.
