3 cups flour
1/2 cup baking cocoa
2 cups sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda

2 cups water
2/3 cup oil
2 T vinegar
2 tsp vanilla

8 oz cream cheese
1 unbeaten egg
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup chocolate chips

walnut or pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the 5 dry ingredients
Add the 4 liquid ingredients
Beat

Combine softened cream cheese, egg, sugar, and chips

Fill cupcake to half with chocolate batter
Place teaspoon or so of cream cheese mixture in the middle of each cupcake
Place a nut half on each cupcake

Bake at 350º for 20 minutes
(if cups are full or big then 25+ minutes)

Everyone loves them

I think its best to prepare the cream cheese mixture first as the batter "goes to work" right away with the soda and vinegar combination

Both my dessert recipes have Black Bottoms!!
