Notes: This recipe came from Zula Mae Hutto (or as Peggy called her, Aunt Zula Mae). Zula Mae was originally from Spurger, Texas and went to church with the Hatton family over in Fred, Texas. She lived her whole life in Southeast Texas. She loved to bake and was generous with her talents. She would use this recipe to make beautiful cookies which she individually wrapped and gave to all the kids in the Fred church. She’s pretty much famous for these cookies.
Jeff tried out the cookies and Tea Cakes and deemed them a success. Thanks for the recipe Jeff.
