Personal Notes:
The original name of the cake is Knock You Naked, which Maw Maw Jane doens't care for at all. She cared even less when I told her it's sometimes called Better Than Sex Cake. There was a cake in the 70s called the Robert Redford Cake which had a shortbread crust.

Maw Maw said that growing up Ernie wasn't too fond of cakes (ice cream, that's different) and this is one of the few cakes that Ernie likes. The first time she made it he loved it and was after her to make another, offering to go to the store and get whatever she needed to make it. She tended to use what was available at home. She adapted recipes as to what was available in her cupboard.
