¾ cup milk
⅔ cup finely crushed saltines

1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. rubbed sage

1½ lbs. ground beef

Directions:
In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add milk, saltines, onion, salt, sage and pepper. Mix in ground beef and mix well. Shape into an 8½ in X 4½ in loaf pan. But I prefer to pat mine into a 9X13 cake pan, so 2-3 inches thick. Then mix the topping up and spread it over your hamburger mixture. Bake at 350º for 65 min.
