1/2 C. butter, softened
2 C. sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
2 lg eggs
2 C. flour
1 1/2 t. cinn
1 t. nutmeg
1/2 t salt
1/2 t. soda
6 C. chopped apples
sauce:
1/2 C. packed Brown sugar
1/4 C. butter cubed
1/2 C. heavy whipping cream
Directions:
Directions:
In lg bowl bream butter, sugar and vanilla, add eggs one at a time. Combine flour and other dry ingredients and mix with wet mixture, batter will be stiff. Stir in apples until well combined, Spread in 9 x 13 pan.
Bake 350 for 45 minutes, cool 30 minutes.

Sauce: in saucepan combine brown sugar and butter until melted, slowly add cream, bring to slow boil, stirring constantly. Serve over cake hot.

I also serve whipping cream with mine.
