2 lb. white navy pea beans
1 lb. ham butt or side pork
8 tbsp. sugar
2/3 c. molasses
2 tsp. dry mustard
4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 medium whole onion

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans overnight.
par boil - then add 1/2 tsp. soda and allow to boil for 1/2 minute, drain and rinse with cold water.
Mix together and place in bean crock.
Add water just to cover.
Bake at 300º for 6 hours.
Turn oven off and leave in oven until cold.
