2 1/2 c flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1 c sugar
1 c butter (2 sticks)
1 egg
1/4 c molasses
1/4 c sugar for rolling cookies in

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves; set aside.

Cream together; butter, sugar, egg and molasses for 1-2 minutes, until smooth and creamy.

Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix by hand.

Roll dough into 3/4 inch balls and roll in sugar. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes. cool on a wire rack.
