2 pounds beef stew cubed
2½ cups beef broth
2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 onion, chopped
2 ribs celery, sliced
2 carrot, cut in ½ inch rounds
¼ cup mild curry powder
¼ cup tomato paste
3 T sugar
3 T soy sauce
2 T Worchestershire sauce
3 star anise\2 bay leaves
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tsp minced fresh ginger
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
¼ tsp 5-spice powder
¼ cup flour
2 T better, melted
1 T vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
1. In slow cooker, combine all ingredients except flour, butter and vinegar and cook on LOW 8 hours.
2. Whisk flour with melted butter and 3 T water. Stir into slow cooker and cook on HIGH about 15 minutes. Stir in vinegar. Discard bay leaves and star anise.
