6 T. chopped nuts
sugar
1 c. butter
3 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 t. vanilla
4 eggs
2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1 1/2 c. seedless golden raisins (plump them)

Directions:

Grease 2 (5-cup) pans heavily. Sprinkle each with 3 T.
of nuts, then lightly with sugar. Beat butter and cream
cheese together until soft. Gradually add 1 1/2 c.
sugar, beating until light. Add vanilla. Beat in eggs one
at a time (may look curdled). Blend in flour, baking
powder, salt and raisins. Turn into nut coated pans.
Bake in a 300 degree oven for 1 hr. 5 min. Cool 10 min.
