"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Personal Notes:
My grandma's kugel has always been a huge favorite at every family holiday. Her original recipe included raisins but no one in my family likes raisins, so I omitted them. If you like fruit, you can add raisins and canned pineapple ( drained).

Enjoy, With love, Randi, xo
