1C Butter
1C Sugar
3oz Cream cheese (softened)
2 Eggs
2Tbsp Grated orange peel
2tsp vanilla extract
2C flour
1tsp Salt
6oz Chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, sugar and cream cheese add eggs orange peel and vanilla; beat well. Sift together flour and salt; add to creamed mixture, mixing well then stir in chocolate chips.

Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes or until done. Cool slightly before removing from pan. Makes 4 dozen.

Our favorite holiday cookie that Nana got in a Better Homes and Gardens magazine from November 1956.

We like to make a batch or 2 with M&M's or Mint chocolate chips or Cranberry nut instead of chocolate chips. You can omit the orange peel if you are not a fan of it and just have a cream cheese chocolate chip cookie.
