2 oz unsweetened chocolate (squares)
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
dash salt
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º.

In double boiler over low heat, melt chocolate and butter. Set aside to cool.

In medium bowl, beat eggs until thick and lemon colored. Beat in sugar a little at a time until thick. Beat in chocolate, vanilla and salt. Stir in flour and then nuts. Spread in greased 8-inch square baking pan for 32 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar.

These brownies are very close to Hawaiian brownies found in a little bakery in Hawaii. Uncle Raymond and Auntie Ceil would always bring these brownies back for us when they visited family in Hawaii. We used to freeze them so we wouldn't eat them so fast, but soon learned they tasted just as good after being out of the freezer for a few minutes.
