Ingredients: 2-3T of peanut, sesame or canola oil 2-4 chicken breasts or 4-8 chicken thighs (or tofu, or any protein of your choice) 1/4 cup Soy sauce or coconut aminos 1/4 cup orange juice 1-2 T of brown sugar or maple syrup 4-5 cloves garlic or 2 heaping tablespoons of roasted garlic (measure with your heart) 1-2T garlic powder 1-2T onion powder Dash of salt and black pepper to taste 1-2 1-lb bags of frozen mixed veggies (we prefer corn, carrots, peas, and green beans but use your favorite medley) 3-4 cups dry white rice (we prefer Botan Calrose rice for a sticky consistency)

Directions:Begin by preparing your rice. I’m not gonna tell ya how. You do it your way. I use a rice cooker cuz it cooks itself while I’m preparing the rest of the meal and I’m all about robot labor.
Heat up oil in a wok or large deep skillet on medium and place protein of choice in center, add garlic while stirring, then add all remaining seasonings. When protein is fully cooked push to edges of pan and add frozen veggies. Stir veggies occasionally until tender, incorporate with protein and add in rice. Add additional sauce/seasonings as desired. |
