1 c. Sugar
1 c. Milk
Butter the size of an egg (¼ c.)
2 tsp. Baking Powder
Flour (2 cups)
2-4 c. Berries -or- Cherries
1 c. Sugar
Butter, small lump (2 tbsp.)
2 c. Boiling Water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Mix 1 c. Sugar, milk, butter the size of egg, baking powder and flour (enough to make a little stiffer than cake batter). Pour into 9x13 inch pan. Cover the mixture with the berries, sprinkle 1 cup sugar over top, dab on butter pieces then pour boiling water over gently. Bake for 45 minutes or until done.
