From a very old little book: The best of Pancake & Waffle Recipes by Beatrice Ojakangas

These have been made and served in our house many, many times.


1 cup milk
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp baking powder
2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt

In a small bowl, whisk the milk, oil and egg together.

In a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Add the liquid ingredients and mix until blended.

Spoon onto a hot, lightly greased griddle to make 4" to 5" pancakes.
