Drizzle on ice cream, cheese, brownies, fruit or grilled meats.

2 cups red wine
½ cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
2 cardamon pods
1 anise
pinch salt

In saucepan, bring to boil, simmer low until liquic is reduced by ⅔rds and syrupy, about 18 minutes. Pour in pretty bottles.
