4 cups sliced apples
¼ cup water
¾ cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 t cinnamon
½ t salt
1 stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
Place apples and water in a 10 x 6 pan. Sift flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt into a bowl. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples. Bake in a moderate oven (350º) for 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Serves 4.
It was always a treat to get apples at the apple orchard and go home for mom to make apple crisp for our afternoon treat. It is the best!
