1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup maple flavor syrup
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1 large egg
2 cups all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl mix all ingredients and 2 cups flour. mix and add in 1 cup flour to make stiff dough. Divide dough in half and shape into 2 balls
wrap each half in plastic and refrigerate for 4 hours (or freeze 1 hr)
Roll one ball to 1/4 inch thickness and cut out. repeat for second ball
Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes

Frosting:
1 - 16 oz pkg powdered sugar
1/3 cup warm water
3 Tablespoons margarine
Mix well until spreading
