Directions:
Dissolve the yeast in the warm water, stir in the milk, 1/3 c sugar, shortening, baking powder, salt, 2-3 cups flour; beat until smooth. Add enough flour to make a dough easy to handle. Knead 8-10 minutes; put in a greased bowl. Let rise until double in size. Divide dough in half.

On a well floured surface; roll half of the dough into a rectangle; about 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle with half of the filling mixture. Beginning at the small end tightly roll the dough until you reach the end. Pinch edges together. Cut in 1 inch slices and place in a butter 9 x 13 pan, cut side up. Let them rise another 30- 45 minutes or until doubled in size.

Bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes. Drizzle with powdered sugar frosting while warm.

Dough can be refrigerated for 12-48 hours.
